FileSwiftly Files stay on your device

Privacy policy

Last updated October 29, 2026. Short version: your documents are processed on your device and are never sent to us.

Your files

All FileSwiftly tools run as JavaScript and WebAssembly code inside your browser. When you select a file, the browser reads it into memory on your device. The processing — merging, compressing, encrypting and so on — happens there, and the result is handed back to you as a download. File contents, file names and passwords are never transmitted to our server or to any third party. You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab and run a tool; you will see no upload request.

When you use “Continue with” to pass a result to another tool, the file is stored temporarily in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) on your device and deleted as soon as the next tool picks it up.

What our server does see

Like every website, our web server receives standard request information when it delivers the pages and program files: IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser user agent and referring page. These logs are used only to keep the site running, to count visits in aggregate and to block abuse. They are kept for a maximum of 90 days and are not sold or shared.

Cookies, analytics and ads

FileSwiftly does not set tracking cookies, does not use third-party analytics scripts and does not show advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. We delete support emails after the conversation has been closed for 12 months.

Children

FileSwiftly is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU or the CCPA in California) you may ask what personal data we hold about you and ask us to delete it. In practice this can only be server log entries or email correspondence. Write to [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes, such as any change to how files are processed, will be announced on the home page.
