Page size options
“Fit to image” makes every page exactly the size of its picture — best for screenshots and artwork. “A4” and “US Letter” place each image on a standard sheet, scaled to fit inside the margins, which is what you want for anything that will be printed or uploaded to a form.
Phone photos stay upright
Phones store photos sideways and add an orientation tag. FileSwiftly reads that tag and turns the image the way you saw it on your phone, so pages do not come out rotated.
Quality
JPEG photos that need no rotation are placed into the PDF byte for byte, without recompression, so the PDF is barely bigger than the photos themselves. PNG images keep their lossless pixels. Other formats such as WebP are converted to PNG first because PDF cannot hold them directly.
One file or many
By default all images become pages of one PDF. Untick “Combine into one PDF” to get a separate PDF per image, delivered as a ZIP.
JPG to PDF: frequently asked questions
Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Browsers other than Safari cannot read HEIC. Share the photo as JPEG from your phone (or set the camera to “Most compatible”) and convert that.
Is there a limit on the number of images?
No fixed limit; very large batches simply take a little longer.
Will transparent PNG areas turn black?
No. Transparent areas stay transparent and show as white on a normal page.
Can I make the PDF smaller?
Run the result through Compress PDF to re-encode large photos.
