Why people switch to FileSwiftly
Processed on your device
The work happens in your browser tab, not on a server farm. Contracts, medical records and tax forms stay where they are.
No queue, no waiting
Nothing is uploaded and downloaded again, so a merge or split finishes as fast as your computer can do it — usually in a second or two.
Free, without catches
No account, no daily task limit, no watermark stamped on your pages and no “upgrade to download” screen at the end.
Chain tools together
Finished merging? Send the result straight to Compress, Sign or Protect with one click — still without any upload.
How it works
- 1
Pick a tool and your files
Choose a tool above, then select PDFs or drop them on the page. They are opened by your browser, the same way it opens a photo.
- 2
Adjust the options
Reorder pages, choose a compression level, type a password — each tool shows only the settings it needs.
- 3
Download the result
The finished file is created on your device. Download it, or pass it on to the next tool.
Questions, answered
Are FileSwiftly tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use with no daily limit, no sign-up and no watermark added to your documents.
Do my files get uploaded?
No. The tools are JavaScript and WebAssembly programs that run in your browser tab. Your PDF is read from your device, processed in memory and saved back to your device. Once a tool has loaded its engine, you can even disconnect from the internet and it keeps working.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no server limit because there is no server step. The practical limit is your device memory; files of a few hundred megabytes work on most laptops.
